The Scandinavian Workshop on Algorithm Theory (SWAT) is a biennial
international conference, held since 1988 in the five Nordic
countries and intended to serve as a forum for researchers working
on algorithms. We invite submissions of papers presenting original
research in all areas of the algorithms field including, but not
limited to, the following:
- approximation algorithms,
- computational biology,
- computational geometry,
- data structures,
- distributed algorithms,
- external-memory algorithms,
- graph algorithms,
- information retrieval,
- online algorithms,
- optimization algorithms,
- parallel algorithms,
- randomized algorithms, and
- string algorithms.
Submissions must be of at most 12 pages (plus, optionally, a clearly
marked appendix to be read at the discretion of the program committee).
Simultaneous submission to other conferences with published
proceedings is not allowed. Contributors should preferably use
an electronic submission procedure that will be set up and
described at the conference web site. Authors
who do not have internet access are advised to contact the organizers
(swat@diku.dk or telephone +45 35321416) at an early time to obtain
information concerning alternative submission procedures. Every submission
should list a corresponding author's e-mail address and fax number,
if available.
The proceedings will be published in the Springer-Verlag series
Lecture Notes in Computer Science
(LNCS). The final version
of each accepted paper must be submitted in electronic form conforming
to the LNCS
style
and not exceeding 12 pages.
