Remnants of a Golden age is a Fantasy role-playing game that is a development of an earlier game called Dark Coast, that itself grew out of an idea for a new mechanism for resolving actions. Apart from this mechanism and a few other novelties, the game is rather old-school without any attempts at formalising storytelling, as many indie games do. There is a setting for the game, but the rules are generic enough to be used in other settings. The rules are medium complexity - more complex than D&D 5E, but simpler than D&D 2E.
