Examples of my lace
I have scanned several pieces. The first two tatted bookmarks were
scanned on an old scanner, but as I have sent them off to their respective
owners, I cannot get better pictures.
- Tatted bookmark for David in the bookmark
exchange. The motif is from Mary Koniors book "Tatting with Visual
Patterns", the edging is my own adaption.
- Tatted bookmark for Nancy, same pattern
as Davids, but a different colour.
- Tatted bookmark for Kaye in the
bookmark exchange in 1998. Don't be fooled by the apparent size of
the picture. This bookmark is made in Sulky rayon thread and is
appr. 3 cm across.
- Tatted bookmark for Sue in the bookmark
exchange in 1998. This is the same pattern as Davids, but in two
colours.
- Rocking horse in russian tape lace from
the book by Cook and Korableva. This was my first serious attempt at
this type of lace, but it is quickly turning into one of my
favorites.
- Adriennes tatted doily in the advanced
round robin.
18th of September 1998. I have recently returned from the Arachne '98
convention. Let me echo the sentiments of the other participants and say
Thank you, Pat and Margaret, for making this possible !
I took the bobbin painting class with Margaret Wall and the
beginner/intermediate Bedfordshire Lace with Margaret Allen. These are
the results.
- The midlands bobbins I painted in
Margaret Wall's class.
- The Beds Motif I finished with
Margaret Allen's help. It is from the book "Bedfordshire Lace in
20 Lessons" by Barbara Underwood.
- The small Beds Leaf that I managed
to make the last day of the convention is from the same book as
the motif.
I am hoping to expand the list as I get more familiar with the scanner.
